Day 212- home, sweet home

Long day full of a long drive, unpacking, and laundry. Now I'm catching up on Big Brother and headed off to bed. Here is Jackson before he went to sleep tonight- the kid's a trooper! No tears and lots of smiles despite lots and lots of time in the car seat- I can't ask for a better kid.

Day 211- Visitors

Jackson has lots of people come and visit with him today. He enjoyed his time with family and friends, but was a sleepy baby by the end of the night. Tomorrow is our long drive home and then some relaxation for a couple of days and back to work. Here are some pictures of his night time sippy, after bath, before bed.

Day 210- Hats off to you

We had a long, hot day at a picnic. Jackson was great and made some new friends. He had a lot of fun and I only took a couple of pictures because he was keeping me very busy.
I don't wear hats mama
Looking good
Here- you wear it
Hmm I'll wear it backwards if I can get some goldfish
Puffs- even better!

Day 209- Here fishy fishy

We took Jackson to the aquarium today and he had a great time. Of course, my camera battery died and the charged battery was back at the house. My mom has some pictures on her phone and I'll add them when she uploads them. Here are some pictures from playtime before bed.

Day 208- Perfect Traveler

We took the 6 hour trip to Kentucky today. It was a long trip, but Jackson was beyond perfect. He fussed for a couple of seconds once or twice, but was fabulous. This week's post will be short b/c I want to spend my time visiting, but I will keep up with pictures.
It's nice to visit with family and the dogs and baby are really enjoying their time. Today's pictures are from our stop at a state park for lunch and playing in the pool with my mom's new puppy.

Day 207- Working hard

We've been busy cleaning and packing all day. Jackson has been super clingy because he's got two teeth pushing through right now. I think this is going to be the worst packing job ever b/c I'm just throwing whatever is clean in a suitcase- I hate packing! Oh well, we'll get everything else packed in the morning and loaded up, then we are off to Kentucky to visit with my family. Joe and Bernie are going to be so psyched to have 2 other dogs to play with for a few days. I'm excited to take Jackson to some cool places and get a little shopping done.

Then vacation is over and it'll be getting things ready for his party, classroom ready for the school year, and enjoying the last of our time together.

Since we were so busy and Jackson was right on top of me I didn't get any pictures until bedtime, but you can see how much he loves Mr. Monkey.

Day 206- Brotherly Love

Jackson and I had a busy day wrapping up summer school and preparing for the upcoming school year. We spent 3 hours at school getting all of the paperwork done, then came home and napped, and then out to walmart for 2 hours of shopping for school supplies. I still have a lot to do tonight, so it's short.

The pictures are from this morning before we left and this afternoon between naps. Joe and Jackson were having a lot of fun playing together today. Now they are both sound asleep and I hope to join them soon!
So proud that he can stand up and get right to Joe

He learned how to take his sippy cup off the table and then put it back up by himself--a very proud baby

Day 205- Home again!

Joe and Bernie are enjoying the air conditioning again and are conked out. Jackson went to bed early b/c Bernie woke him up in the car on the way home when he decided he wanted to cuddle with the sleeping Jackson and lay on his lap. Crazy dog won't be within 5 feet of him at home, but in the car- he's so attached. I don't get it!

He was tired and cranky at bedtime, but I went to blog after getting things unpacked and laundry started and found I had no pictures from today. So our pictures are a tired and cranky bedtime routine.
WTH are you doing taking pictures at bath time mom?
Mama- save me!
Finally settled for a little Goodnight Moon!

Day 204- Weekend away

We went to visit Russell's family this weekend. It was a nice weekend. Russell went through all of his old stuff and enjoyed the memories.

Day 203- Last day of summer school

Today was the last day of summer school and it went really well. The kids loved both programs and learned a lot. Then Jackson and I had our lunch date with Amy, Susan and Kipton- I got my first view of the jealousy. I was holding Kipton and all of the sudden, Jackson just had to sit in my lap- this kid never wants to sit in my lap. However, once I situated both of them on there he was happy as could be to just stare at him.
When we got home he took a 2 1/2 hour nap, which made for a late bedtime. But he was in a good mood the whole time. Now I have to pack up our whole house for a weekend visit with Russell's family- I can't believe how much work it is to take such a little guy for a weekend, but here we go again. So I'm off to get packin' and I won't be able to post tomorrow b/c they don't have internet that I can access :( I'll take pictures and catch up when I get home Sunday then.
Snack time and Elmo after nap
What Mama?
Oops- I spilled my goldfish :(
That's OK I'll eat them off the floor!
Watch how I spill them all!
I can throw them too :)

Checking on Bernie
On his way back in, it's all OK
