Day 59- Teething Monster

Jackson's been bit by the teething monster again. I really hope his top two teeth pop through soon, poor kid is in misery and covered in drool. I was able to make his fruits and veggies for the week tonight. He's got broccoli, asparagus, zucchini, sweet potato, cucumber, carrots, squash, pears, bananas, peaches, beets, apricots, and apples this week. I also introduced cheese today. He loved it and did really well.

Today's picture is of Jackson with his current favorite teether. It is a really soft latexy rubber and when he chews on it, it vibrates and massages his gums. http://www.diapers.com/product/productdetail.aspx?productid=25195&site=CI&src=gnew&cm_mmc=cse-_-googlebase-_-toys_books-_-LC-218&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=LC-218 He sat there for three minutes today, just clamped on. I can also officially say the RSV is gone. Digger the dog (his nebulizer) is getting put away in the am as it's been 24 hours since he's needed a breathing treatment, he doesn't have a runny nose anymore, and I've turned his humidifier back to low. I'm so glad it's gone- now if he can cut these two teeth I'll have my happy healthy little man back again!

Day 58- Beautiful day

I was subpeonaed to family court tomorrow so I have to finish my lesson plans for the sub. I hate writing sub plans, they are so much more detailed and not what I really want done with my kids- blah. Thankfully court isn't until 9:15 so I have time to run to school, print it out, and make copies.
Anyway- today was beautiful, but Jackson slept a lot so we just ended up playing in the backyard. I have pics from all different things today so I'll just caption the pictures.
He wants to see what Russell is doing, but won't let go of Joe dog
Petting Joe
Being a ham
Investigating the grass- it's his first time on it
Good morning!

Day 57- Motivation

So Jackson has zero motivation to crawl, roll to his stomach, push up on his arms, or do anything that involves being on his tummy. He can roll from tummy to back and does that as soon as we start to move him on his stomach for tummy time. So today I put him in an inspirational onesie and the funny thing is it sort of worked. We got 3 minutes straight of tummy time! He slept beyond wonderfully last night-14 hours! I was up for 5 of those hours checking to make sure he was OK. So here are some pictures from today. I've given up on the weekly challenges- I'm lucky just to remember to take a picture, let alone have a specific thing I'm supposed to take a picture of!

Day 56- Yeah Toast

Jackson's a great eater. He eats a variety of foods and I've yet to find a food that he won't eat. Now he's not a big avocado fan, but he'll still eat it. However, this kid LOVES toast with fruit preserves on it. It doesn't matter what flavor fruit just as long as it's on toast. So I have a couple of pictures of Jackson enjoying his toast tonight. He was also in a funny screaming mood, so I've included a video of him screaming at Joe tonight.
Excited for dinner
First thing he picks up to eat- yummy toast.

This is what happens when his finger gets in the way of his toast.
Don't worry, the thumb fixes everything.

Day 55- We love to read

I'm writing a webquest for tomorrow's technology lesson with second grade so I don't have much to say today, except-thank goodness tomrorow is Friday! I have three pictures today. The first is Jackson reading The Very Grouchy Ladybug with me. The second is Jackson enjoying his toast, which has become his very favorite food. The final picture is Jackson practicing with his cup.

Day 54- Forgot my camera :(

I left my camera at school today so instead I'm going to put a picture of vintage Jackson. It's his coming home from the hospital picture. Then I have him in the same onesie last month- I'm sad I can barely fit this onesie on him anymore. Days like this make me sad that I have to work so much. I barely got to spend any time with the little guy. I'm really looking forward to Friday!

Day 53- Mr. Mischief

Jackson likes to use his walker to go to the towels I have hanging on the island and pull them on his head. He thinks it's a riot. I think it's really cool that no matter where I put him in his walker, he ends up at the island, pulling towels on his head.

Jackson and Joe also had a lot of fun tonight in his room after dinner. I love watching them together- Jackson just laughs and smiles when Joe is around.

Day 52- Internet Out

Here are my pictures from yesterday. The internet was out all night and came back on sometime during the day today. I put a picture of Jackson when I put him to bed and then 20 minutes late when I checked on him. I love that he's so easy to put to bed now. He's growing up so fast!

Day 51- Good Eater

I have a killer headache, so I'm going to catch up on Grey's Anatomy and head to bed. No students tomorrow so I really hope to get caught up on paperwork!

Here are some pictures of Jackson at lunch today:

Day 50- Black hole of a stomach

My mom and George are still here so I'm enjoying their company. They took us out to dinner at the Steer. We brought Jackson's high chair cover from zulily (great site for parent's by the way- awesome stuff for great discounts- http://www.zulily.com/invite/eshepherd632 use that link to join for free) and we used the tiny diner from my sister Carrie- http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2908461&CAWELAID=125732153 and picked up a few things for him to eat off the buffet. Little did I know what an appetite he had. He LOVED that food. I actually had to go up for seconds for him. He had peaches (at least 5 slices), beets, green beans, carrots, mashed potatoes, noodles, green peppers, and banana pudding. He created quite a crowd of onlookers amazed at his appetite and self feeding skills. He did wonderfully. We were there for two hours and he wasn't fussy at all. He was in a great mood, but crashed on the way home. He was late to bed- I'm really hoping that means he'll sleep in tomorrow!

George got a picture of Jackson eating at the restaurant and will email it to me to add when I can. But the other two pictures are from Jackson at breakfast- where he ate almost an entire piece of toast with blackberry preserves and from Jackson crashed out after his huge dinner.

Day 48- Long day

Parent teacher conferences were tonight and I'm worn out! I didn't get to spend much time with Jackson so I only have 2 pictures tonight. One is of him eying Bernie while he's eating his toast. The other is of Joe Dog modeling Jackson's new hat.
