Day 249- Daddy Daycare

Since Jackson's fever didn't break until later yesterday Russell kept him home today. He's much better and took a super long nap. He's down for the night. He had a great day with Russell and stayed in his warm PJs in this cool weather. I'm still trying to recover from this weekend, so I'm headed to bed. Here are some pictures that Russell took today!
Apparently, Jackson was still tired this morning
He took a 30 second nap and then took off like a bat out of Hell lol
Daddy and Jackson
Yay! He's eating again
Brushing his teeth like a big boy all by himself
Making sure to get the back
He tried to put the toothbrush away when he was done
Jannet made him longies- they fit wonderfully! (please excuse his hillbilly smile!)
Showing off his awesome new longies!

Day 248- on the mend

I'm loving the rain and temperatures. Jackson didn't sleep much and wasn't doing too hot until about 5:00 this evening. Russell is going to stay home with him tomorrow to make sure he's all better- so it's an extra long weekend for my boys.
I'm not really sure if Jackson had a virus or if it's just extra bad molar teething, but he was not a happy camper today. Poor guy couldn't get comfortable and the fever just wouldn't go away. He was mad at the world and his toys got the brunt of his anger. I hope he sleeps better tonight! I've got lesson plans to finish since I slept during the only hour nap he took today so the rest is just pictures :)
Yelling at the cow to get out if his way.
Check out that drool- teething is mean.
Ready for football!
Jackson's sick face :(
Climbing for some toys
Playing music with the Backyardigans
Ready for bed

Day 247- College Football is back and so are the JRES germs

Tonight's is going to be very quick b/c I have a feeling I'll be up a bit with Jackson as the motrin wears off. He's been irritable, puking, fevered, and clingy all day. After the tylenol or motrin we get a bit of a break from sick baby Jackson. I was hoping to see the end of the Mountaineer game, but that's not going to happen (and if it does- I'll be sound asleep by the time it does).

Here are some glimpses (one graphic) of our day today. Thank goodness Jackson has lots of Mountaineer clothes!
The morning started OK, but I should have known something was up when he didn't finish his eggs.
I was taking pictures to show how he was getting so picky and wouldn't touch anything but animal crackers
Then he puked up breakfast (at lunch) and showed me why :( Sorry Russell insisted this picture be in tonight's blog.
Mr. Monkey makes even being sick OK
So does emptying your entire toy box
Peeking through the 0 :)
And quite proud of himself for it
Mr. Monkey kept him company all day
One handed playing b/c he had to drink his pedialyte
Figured out how to keep his sippy and play all the instruments
Standing like a big boy to take a drink break
Trying to smile for me
Showing off his WVU click :)

Day 246- last few days of summer

Today was one hot day. Joe has a staph infection :( He'll be on antibiotics and I have a spray for him. Jackson and I ran some errands and then he fell asleep. Russell's parents are visiting so I'll keep this short. Here are pictures from today:

Day 245- Bring on the weekend!

Jackson's asleep and the toys are all picked up. I'm looking forward to this weekend, getting caught up on paperwork, housework and rest. So after a very long evening with baby Jackson here are some views of today. We have to take Joe to the vet in the morning because his rash just isn't getting better :( Then home to clean up a bit.

Jackson likes to randomly stop when he's crawling to pose
He grabbed my face for kisses :)

Talking to Bernie
Zany Zoo time!
He pulled all of his books out of the book bin. This is an awesome book that was a present from Uncle Charlie and Aunt Chris. I love the illustrations and that it's educational and entertaining. http://www.iseeme.com/my-very-own-name-personalized-book-virtual-tour.html
Getting ready to attack a very patient Joe
pulling the laundry away from his toy
This is how most of the night went
Refusing to smile
He started stacking- but would never leave it up long enough for me to take a picture
He was reading to himself

Day 244- THANK YOU!!

Thank you everyone who voted! Jackson won a custom diaper. We will be getting a newly debuted Twinkie Tush Night-Night in aqua. I am so excited because I almost cried when I couldn't get one when she stocked them earlier in the day (it's a very competitive process). Right now Jackson still gets up 2-3x a night with his diapers soaked. I cringe to think what life would be like if we didn't have night diapers and wool- we've never had to change sheets from night time diaper leaks and this kid can pee. I hope this diaper will be the magic that lets me sleep through the night before the new baby is here.

Ms. Brenda said Jackson was a cranky little guy today but I didn't see any of that tonight. He was in a pretty good mood as we cooked dinner, only threw 3 things off of his tray, and was pretty pleasant the rest of the night. He went to bed late for him, but didn't seem too tired.

However it was a busy night and there aren't many pictures.
Playing with his zany zoo, which he tried to pull to the middle of the floor by himself.
Playing peekaboo with his sbish air soaker
Getting ready for some bath water- Daddy was nice and gave him a bath tonight.
It's time for Goodnight Moon!
