Day 357- Baking Helper
I have almost all of my baking done and now it's time for cleaning. Jackson and I had a great afternoon together and we're gearing up for a busy few days. I'm excited for Christmas, but looking forward to so quiet relaxation with Jackson next week too! I hope break doesn't go by too quickly. Merry Christmas Eve Eve everyone.
Pulling out the pans to help me bake
You want this one mama?
Ok, I'll make music then instead
He's as bad as the dogs, I dropped a marshmallow and he scooped it up and ate it as quickly as he could
What- you wanted me to have loads of sugar before dinner right?
Look- I had to make room for my cup on the wine shelf
Mama, you look like you're going to need this (I wish!)- maybe it will help you to say yes a little more often :)
Some of the yummy treats we baked!

Day 356- Christmas Lights
We had a fun little evening. Jackson got to meet Dad's guest this evening, a raccoon he had to trap who is currently living in our garage. Then we headed to Subway where he was very proud to show us that he could blow his nose. After that we went to the railroad depot and checked out the Christmas lights. Jackson wouldn't keep his hat on so we came home and had a bit of a relaxing before Jackson's bedtime. I have a long to-do list, but I think my swollen feet are saying to take it easy tonight. So I think I'll make Jackson his Christmas Jigglers tonight, work extra hard tomorrow afternoon/night, and pray that anyone coming to visit for Christmas understands that I'm pregnant, have a toddler with a cold, and doing the best I can to keep the house clean. Christmas on Sunday is very hard to manage. I just need one weekend day before the parties and festivities begin.
Hey-Mama, let's get moving- I'll drive!
Dad trying to make sure we don't have repeat of the bunny incident
Poor raccoon
Jackson was definitely more interested in the gravel than the raccoon
It moved!
Eyes!
Marching toward the lights
His favorite display- the dump truck
Pretty!
Of course, he has to touch
He had to climb up on every bench there was, just to climb down and do it again
Where we going Dad?
Found Santa on the way back to the car
Running away to try and touch more lights
He was a little bookworm tonight when we got back, my feet were very thankful!

Day 355- Almost Christmas
Jackson hung out with Russell tonight while I finished all our shopping (minus milk) for 2011. We had our Christmas party at school today, I had a doctor's appointment (all is well), and then Walmart- I'm very aware today that the baby is coming soon! Jackson's asleep and gearing up for a big weekend and I think he has the right idea! The next 4 days will be very busy, but then we have a week of relaxation :)

Day 354- Note to self, toy stores + toddlers don't mix
Jackson and I had to go shopping for a couple more things tonight for this weekend. He was in a very independent mood and of course he wanted to touch everything and run around. The nice lady at Hopscotch sat and played with the trucks with him while I shopped as quickly as I could. Then when we were trying to check out, he decided he was going to run back to the store and play with the trucks again. After 4 tantrums and at least 6 games of chase- I finally paid for everything and we made it home.
Before I finish laundry, I was super excited today because Jackson said "oh oh ah ah" like a monkey after reading his jungle book. I'm glad he likes monkeys as much as I do :)

Day 353- Country Boy
Jackson's got a little cold, but it kept me up listening to him cough most of the night. He doesn't seemed bothered by it in the least, so I'm thankful for that. He had a good day with Dad and surprised us tonight when he inhaled the biscuits and gravy that Russell made and then had 2 more servings. I guess he really is a West Virginia baby. Now it's time for diapers and an early bedtime for me!
Mmmm tasty dinner
Clapping for himself after dumping his cheerios
Morning Joe Dog kisses
He likes to steal my spoon, and half of my cereal every morning
Morning mama- are you trying to be on time for work hahaha
Apparently he wasn't pleased with the container we gave him for cheerios so he had to transfer them
