Day 327- Back on Track

After a day of fighting sleep, Jackson was finally back on schedule tonight. He protested for less than a minute, but was sound asleep by 7:00. His cold is getting a little bit worse so we got some California Baby Cold and Flu bubble bath and hope that helps to do the trick. Jackson had a great time at his Mamaw's work today- he was not shy at all, ran all over the building, and helped himself to a lollipop. I was so glad he showed how outgoing and happy he really is and I'm glad he's getting past the stranger anxiety stage.

From there we went out to lunch and Target and headed back here where he fought his nap and Leah. After laying down in the PnP and watching some Sprout for 45 minutes he was back to his normal self. He's not happy that he can't play on the stairs, as they are a great novelty for him and let him indulge in his climbing, but other than that he's having lots of fun. I was bad about having the camera around today and only got one picture. But with lots of family around tomorrow I'll do my best to capture Thanksgiving.

Tomorrow's blog may not be posted until Friday night because I will start my favorite holiday early---- it's almost black friday! I hope everyone has a fabulous Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Day 326- Terrific Traveler

Jackson did excellent on the trip to Kentucky and was well behaved once we got here, however he just now went to sleep. I'm hoping that he sleeps well tonight so that his good mood and good behavior can continue through the week. He's starting to get over his stranger anxiety and going with other people quickly and having fun and interacting with anyone who is patient and fun with him. I only got a few pictures from this evening, but I'll try to get more as the week goes on.

Not digging bedtime
Playing keep away from Leah
Fetch, but Leah wouldn't drop for him
He was not happy with her refusing to drop for him and he let her know with a monster face

Day 325- The many faces of Jackson

So Jackson did not have a good night and I think it was a combination of teething and a cold. He was up every half an hour starting at 1 am and then finally slept for 2 hours strait (though fussy in his sleep) at 6 am. He wanted nothing more than Joe dog last night and then clung to me the rest of the day.

We had to go to the OB this morning and she was out for a delivery so we were there for an hour and a half. Jackson showed off his excellent social skills when a 4 year old little boy came in. He ran right over to him and started "talking" the little boy came over to where we were sitting to watch cartoons with Jackson while his mom waited. Now I will say that this little boy would most likely be in my classroom within a year once he starts school because he was very behind and socially struggled, but Jackson didn't help any. Jackson asked to be put up on the chair (he's starting to sign help!) so I put him up. He then growled at the little boy. The little boy then made a face at Jackson who made the monster face back. The little boy got up because his mom wanted to tell him that Jackson was just a baby and he couldn't be mean to him and Jackson stole his seat. When the boy came back Jackson snarled at him. Finally I did get him to say cheese and get out of his mean mood, but man if he doesn't learn to be nicer he's not going to have any friends!

The rest of the day was pretty low key. We played on the floor and hung out on the couch b/c we were both tired. He took a good 2 hour nap and then woke up with an even runnier nose. He started making his mean face at random the rest of the day- I'm not sure what provoked him most of the time. He did eat a good dinner and then we did bath and bed. He's getting really good about saying "done" and meaning it at the end of eating and at the end of his bath. I think he's doing a great job! I hope when this cold leaves him, his little mean streak goes too. Otherwise- watch out Kentucky!
Not a happy baby :(
Mr. Monkey and Joe make things better
Moving closer to Joe
Happily sitting ON Joe
On his laptop like mama going through emails
Ahhhhh nothing like a cold cup of milk in the morning
What mama?
Silly baby- he brought me that bib to wear
Little guy knew I'm a bit sleep deprived and decided to help
One of his random faces- apparently he's not a fan of something that he was watching
Tired little guy
He's getting better and better with a spoon
Threatening to thrown the spoon
The look I got when I told him he couldn't have the spoon back
I gave in after he ate a couple of things and seemed to forget about it

Day 324- Baby no pants

Jackson decided today was a great day to go pants-less. I gave up after the second pair ended up on the floor and just turned on the space heater to make it warm enough for him. It was great timing too because we had two diapers that I needed to get pictures of for reviews. He was in a pretty good mood all day and we had fun playing and making plans for next weekend. I was up half the night with a headache last night, so tonight it'll be short and the "to do" list is going to just wait until tomorrow. We have to get all packed up for KY and go to the doctor to check on baby #2 so tomorrow is a busy day for us.

Jackson did leave his pants on for Patricia and Candy and had a great time being spoiled rotten :) He's talking more and more and I'm so proud that he says thank you about 80% of the time. He learned Patricia's name and enjoyed playing with a "Jackson sized" dog- Buddy. Twilight was well done and I can't believe I have to wait a year to see the ending, oh well- hopefully Candy and Patricia want to watch 2 munchkins ;)
Rocking his ghastlies diaper- don't judge, it's a good diaper!
Caught red handed
He loves his cars
Are you spying on me mama?
Have you realized my kid likes peek a boo and empty boxes yet?
I see you!
Trying to make Joe stay so he can play peek a boo with him- Joe didn't like getting smacked in the face with a box
Petting "gentle" see how hard he has to concentrate to be nice?
Since he ran Joe off, it was my turn to get hit with the box
Much to Joe's dismay- Jackson has started running
He's ready to make Christmas cookies!

Day 323- Peter Pan

We had a fun day together and Jackson was sound asleep by 7:00 tonight. That let me get everything cleaned and organized, laundry folded, and the floor swept. We got some Christmas stuff out today, but have a lot more to hit tomorrow. However, Jackson's little sibling let me know that he's had enough and it's time to relax with some water for tonight.

We had fun at the craft show and Jackson decided that Coalton school's playground is the best, as he played there for over an hour. Then we went grocery shopping and stopped to get my ticket to Twilight for a date with friends tomorrow. That means Jackson's headed to get spoiled rotten with Patricia, Candy, and Buddy tomorrow afternoon.

Jackson was only mildly interested in the Christmas stuff until he found one of his sleepers from last year (3-6 months). He threw a fit until I put it on him and then I had to let him wear it for a few minutes. When his cheeks got red from it being so warm I made him take it off and had to hide it while he cried. I know what I"m going to have to get him for PJs soon!

This was a great start to break and I hope it continues- slowly!

Hey mama- my hair's a little wild today
see- crazy hair!
Ouch- that poked me!
Toys are way better than Christmas decorations
What? This totally still fits
Hard to believe this was big on him last year!
Weebles wobble but they don't fall down
Watch mama, it won't tip over
Getting ready to hit me because I told him he couldn't have his sleeper back- goes well with the shirt
Trying to drink from the Christmas tree tin
Proving to me that he can do it
Love this little guy
