Day 174- bye bye

Jackson had to say goodbye to mamaw and saba and all the spoiling that comes with them today. I'm so excited they were here to see him learn to crawl! Now we have to get ready for two wedding weekends in a row, so it'll just be pictures and captions today. I also have 2 quick videos for facebook b/c it takes way too long to post here.
What don't you like to relax with your feet up?
not sure what he thought was so funny, but he was cracking up
As he's leaving the room- I say Jackson, all your toys are over here
And I get this innocent suck up face...he's learning manipulation so quickly
Jackson thinks it's a riot when I call him wierdo
But seriously, the kid is weird. This is what he does- open mouth, mouthing anything he can. Just lays his head down and mouths it, then looks up and laughs
Jackson's favorite book- peekaboo baby. Favorite page? Bunny is hungry, are you hungry too? Yum, yum. You are hungry too.
Other favorite book- The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Look at his excitement when he sees him!
Jackson's new teething position- tongue out rubbing where the latest tooth is cutting.

Day 173- He's crawling :)

Well, sort of in his own way. He either drags one leg or army crawls- either way he can get where he's going. I'm so excited/relieved and I'm looking forward to watching him get better and better at it.
I'm still visiting with Mom and George so here is a pic from today:
I'll post a crawling video on FB.

Day 172- Visitors

Jackson's just about there with crawling, he rotated moving on legs twice :) I only have one picture from us playing this afternoon before Mom and George got here to spoil Jackson. He played with his toys while I got some things done- such a good kid! I'll try to remember to keep the camera with me more tomorrow.

Day 171- Happy WV Day

Russell was so kind today to oblige me in going to his work on his day off. We headed to the WV Wildlife Center (game farm) for their WV Day celebration. We got to see some of his friends and check out lots of animals. It was a great time. I didn't get a picture of Jackson with his favorite animal- the bald eagle b/c it was hard to hold him still. Every time the eagle looked his direction he would laugh, yell and do a whole body freak out- it was hilarious. His second favorite animal? The hogs- they were loud and right in his face, he was completely captivated. Jackson also had his very first visit to Sam's Pizza- he loved every minute of it :) I love that we have such an easy baby who I can honestly take anywhere, trust to be in a good mood, and generally find something he loves about any situation. I'm so spoiled!
Jackson and Russell humored me for this picture
Enjoying some rare stroller time :)
"Petting" the copperhead through the glass
The snake checking him out
Watching the hog
Totally enamored by that hog
I mean, how could you not love this thing lol
Jackson and Russell- locked in
This is how I roll Mom
First taste of pizza- loves it!
Back for more
Mmmm toppings- what is this tasty goodness?

Day 170-I think we need to buy a chicken

I have to cut Jackson off at 2 eggs every morning. Today I made blackberry pancakes and while he liked them- he was furious that he didn't have eggs. He fussed and fussed until I made him two- then life was good. I seriously go through close to (if not) a dozen eggs each week, just for Jackson.
I kind of slacked with picture taking today so there are only pictures from breakfast and dinner today, but no worries- Jackson's still cute!
tasting some pancake- not sure about the berries in it yet
hey mom- it's good!
throwing my sippy cup, cuz it's way more fun than drinking from it

not a corn on the cob fan (actually he fussed until he got some steak, then life was good)

Day 169- Sneaking out

Tonight will be short b/c I'm worn out. Jackson took a really short morning nap, skipped his afternoon nap, and got up at 6:15 instead of his usual 7:30. I still haven't really recovered from Thursday night sitting up listening to him gasping for air all night.

Even though he has croup, the kid doesn't act it. I can definitely hear it in his breathing, but no fever and he's a happy little monster. So after he tore up his room when I left him to play so that I could make his scrambled eggs, I decided we needed to get out of the house. So this afternoon we decided to hit up Coalton Days. He had a blast and it was a nice get away. He slept on the way home and then was up to play for the night. We went out to pick berries and it started raining, so in we came. I'm going to start pushing his mobility since he doesn't seem interested in crawling. We practiced walking from room to room and he enjoyed it, though he did reach out for me to carry him a couple of times- he didn't fuss when I didn't.

Oh and my new summer task- I'm going to try for extreme couponing. I love this show and I think it's time to try it out myself :) So you'll get to enjoy that journey along with me as well!
Look what I did mom!
He got really excited when the Mountaineer waved to him at the parade
Someone threw candy where he could reach it... (don't worry he didn't get to eat it)
But he LOVED the free spaghetti at Mike Ross' house!
Who needs a plate when you have a bib?
Jackson loves these cookies too- belly full and ready to relax for dessert
Watching the karaoke
Worn out :)
