Day 145- still busy :(

Less than 10 days left of school and there is still so much to do! I'm looking forward to hanging out with Jackson, Joe and Bernie, sleeping in (until 8 if Jackson permits) and not having to do school work at night this summer. I will still do summer school, but that won't be all summer and I love that time to go back to having no pressure, fun teaching!
Jackson enjoyed the cornbread- Joe and Bernie enjoyed cleaning up the crumbs
These bottle come with sippy cup lid attachments so it's super easy for him to use

Day 144-back to work

Back to work and I have a ton of IEPs this week, so I probably won't have many pictures or words to write b/c I'm tired of typing!
Working for puffs

Happy baby!

Day 143- On the road again

We took our time getting home, stopping often and getting out to play. Jackson had a fever when we stopped at a park outside of Baltimore so a little Tylenol finally got him to sleep for a couple of hours. We didn't stop again until Winchester.
Right after I told Jackson it was time to drive home
He was less than impressed
His mood did improve with a banana though!
Playing at the park with a fever :(
We can still get him to laugh
If you look in the mirror you can see Jackson sleeping
We got tired of driving, so Jackson took over- checking his mirrors
Telling people to get out of the way
being a ham!
loving being out of the car seat

Day 142- Congrats the the newlyweds!

While Jackson was a little too chatty to last the entire wedding (we left and played outside) and a little too tired for the reception- we lasted about an hour and a half- we did have some fun while in Wildwood, NJ. I think Jackson's biggest issue at the reception was he saw lots of people eating and drinking and no one was sharing! He would freak out every time someone took a drink. We had some fun, but he was sound asleep within 20 minutes of getting back to the hotel!
Here are some pics from the super cold beach in the morning and a couple from his nap between the wedding and the reception.

Day 141- On the road

Jackson was beyond awesome on our 10 hour trip here. We only stopped 3 times (and the last time only for 15 minutes) and he only fussed in the last 20 minutes of the trip. He played and talked and slept and was a perfect baby. He got to bed late but we only had a couple of pictures from today. Here's my favorite:

Day 140- Packing up

We're getting as much packed up tonight as we can. It's been a busy week, but I feel like I'm starting to catch up on paperwork. Only 12 school days left- that's crazy!

Jackson was a very sleepy kid today. I had to wake him up from his evening nap to eat and get a bath, but I think if I would have let him, he would have slept through the night. I just needed to get in his room to wash the diapers and pack his clothes.

Russell and I had Wendy's so Jackson got leftover spaghetti. I was going to make him something else, but he was so cranky and he never turns down pasta. Thank goodness it worked!

Here are a few quick pics from in between sleeping tonight. I can't wait to share pictures from the beach and the zoo this weekend!
Yummy puffs help take the sting away from being woken up
He loves playing "catch"
Spaghetti monster is back
I did try and give him some chicken- not interested
Jackson's new growth chart- it was free except I had to pay $5 for shipping from paper cotiere https://www.papercoterie.com/ It came with a free necklace too :) I love it and so does Jackson. He talks to the little boy in the tree and laughs and laughs. Goofy kid.

Day 139- all smiles

Though his cough is sounding worse, Jackson's in a much better mood. He's really practicing 'dadada' a lot. He has also discovered his tongue and loves to stick it in and out all day. He's getting much better about moving around while on the floor, still on his side pushing himself and then rolling this way and that. While exhausting, for him right now it is effective. Jackson is much braver with his standing too, often taking a hand off and he can sit down and get back up pretty well.

We have a wedding in New Jersey on Sunday so we are leaving Saturday morning and driving back all day Monday. I'm not looking forward to all that time in the car, but we will take a lot of breaks and I'm super excited to take Jackson to the Cape May zoo and to play in the sand on the beach. We might even get our toes wet. The forecast has changed and it looks like it won't be raining (yay!). I'm so terrified about how he's going to sleep though. We are taking his pack n' play, seahorse- which needs batteries!- Mr. Monkey, bath toys, and anything else that cues sleep. So I might seriously over pack, but that's just fine with me so long as he takes his naps, sleeps through the night, and isn't a major bear for the wedding and reception.

I'm doing all the laundry tonight and tomorrow night will be dedicated to packing, so it'll probably be a pretty short blog.

Anyway, here is my smiley little man who loves having a cold because every time he sneezes I tell him "God bless you" which still remains the funniest thing that I can say to that child.
Jackson telling Joe Dog it's time to wake up!
He found himself in our mirror
Happy baby before Ms. Brenda's
Watching Sesame Street and waiting for Elmo
Playing peek-a-boo with the blanket
He just sneezed- he's so excited to hear "God bless you" he can hardly contain himself
still laughing after I said it
and he's still laughing
Standing 1 handed modeling his new wool shorties, which paired with a t-shirt will be summer time PJs-- I love them, they are so soft!

138- It got better :)

Jackson's morning, starting at 5 am (this was at 7- nothing made him happy)
Whoever said don't cry over spilled milk- never had to pump. Jackson kicked his 10 oz bottle out of my hand in the 2 feet from the fridge to his back- awesome.
It ended pretty well, we went to take a kid to dinner. He was beyond perfectly behaved. He came home, skipped his bath and went straight to sleep. I <3 Motrin.
